Jiu Jitsu
Jiu Jitsu is a self defense martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds. A traditional Gi with rank belt is worn.
No-Gi Grappling
No-Gi Grappling is a form of competition and a general term for martial arts and combat sports that focus on clinch and ground fighting with the aim of obtaining a submission through the use of submission holds. Not using a gi has a major impact on the sport; there are many choke techniques which make use of the of the gi, thus rendering them un-usable and grappling in general becomes more difficult when the opponent doesn't have a gi to grab hold of.
Boxing
Partner and group based class utilizing fundamental techniques, pads, and heavy bag training. Emphasis on conditioning, form, and self defense. There will be opportunities for sparring and competition based on skill level.
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is a stand-up combat sport based on kicking and punching practiced for self defense, general fitness, and as a contact sport. Sparring and competition will be optional based on skill level and comfortability.
Strength and Conditioning
Group based interval training and cardiovascular exercise alternating between short periods of higher intensity movements and less intense recovery periods. Body weight and resistance training with pull-up bars, gymnastic rings, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, boxes, and more.
